Skyline Rotorua is situated 487 metres above sea level on the side of Mt Ngongotaha and accessed by gondola. Our gondola system is fully operational and features 8 seater cabins and a capacity of 2000 guests per hour. For that special touch we offer a dressed bridal cabin.
Venue Option 1-Skyline Forest Wedding Venue This unique area is situated halfway down our scenic luge track and offers a wonderful opportunity to host your guests at a wedding venue with a difference. Covered with a Fully enclosed White Marquee, with its own gas heating, two brazier fireplaces and all facilities, this is a venue for all occasions.
Guests have the option of luging on the Scenic Luge Track or taking an 8-minute walk on the new walking trail to get to the Forest Venue.
A comfortable 4-wheel drive van is also available to transport guests to and from the top gondola terminal to the Skyline Forest Venue if required.
The Forest venue is the ideal location for your conference or incentive dinner, Christmas or office party, weddings and themed events, day or night.
The venue can be themed from casual to formal, with our "Middle Earth" and "NZ Country Bach" themes being very popular with our clients. Menus range from BBQ's to Carvery Buffets - minimum numbers from 60 guests.
Venue Option 2-Cableway Restaurant & Bar With views of the lake, City of Rotorua and surrounding countryside our restaurant provides one of the most superb venues in the City. Recently refurbished and with a seating capacity of 500 guests (room hire may apply) it can be divided into 3 with our fully licensed Bar servicing both sides of the restaurant.
Our fully licensed Cableway Restaurant & Bar offers a tempting buffet selection in a relaxed atmosphere for Wedding Groups to enjoy. Take in an uninterrupted 180° view of the city whilst you sample our full buffet lunches and dinners or cafe style meals throughout the day.
